La actividad de la MediaciÛn Familiar en el Instituto de Terapia Familiar de Florencia El ITFF aplica la mediaciÛn familiar sistÈmica en las parejas con crisis o con dificultades, la peticiÛn la hacen las parejas mismas o el tribunal. Como Centro fundador del AIMS(AsociaciÛn Internacional Mediadores SistÈmicos) y sede de la regiÛn Toscana, el ITFF est· particularmente calificado por dicha actividad y para la supervisiÛn a otros institutos y para la formaciÛn de Mediadores Familiares SistÈmicos .

 


Parenting After Marriages End: how Mediation can Help Shape a Plan

The divorce may soon be final, but even before the dust has settled, parents will discover that one responsibility hasn't changed in the slightest: Parents are still accountable for the well-being of their child. Because of the child, both parents are destined to participate in a lifelong relationship.
Let us remember, however, that this lifelong relationship does not have to mean a personal relationship. Divorced spouses need not choose to be friendly or even pleasant with each other. They must, however, in the interest of the child, create a safe and businesslike parenting arrangement. If they fail to do so, the consequences for the children (and the adults)...

Parental alienation syndrome (PAS), a term that originated in the mid-1980s, refers to a disturbance in which children are preoccupied with viewing one parent as all good and the other parent as all bad. Conscious or unconscious words and actions of custodial parents cause the child(ren) to align with them in rejection of noncustodial parents during divorce or custody disputes. Issues of concern for mediators include detection of PAS and an understanding of appropriate remedial plans that will allow the child to restore his or her relationship with the noncustodial parent...
